The Long Story…

Greetings there. My parents baptized me with the first name Arianne Criseyde. Normal people call me Arian but I prefer my psuedonym “Sporky”. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Metro Manila since 1991.

At first glance, I’m a shy and quiet person. I really don’t say much unless there is something to talk about. If we happen to have a similar interest, especially when it’s about a game, comic or anime, that’s when I get talkative. Aside from talking like a nerd, I love randomness and inside jokes.

I grew up in a family of doctors. My parents naturally wanted me to get a career in medicine or law but art still persisted its way into my life. I started getting serious with improving by high school. I drew, wrote, painted, coded, designed, vectored and animated enough to persuade them to enroll me in a Multimedia Arts course in College of Saint Benilde and I’m having fun.

Videogames have been with me as much as art was. My older brother and I had an SNES, a playstation 1 and a gameboy advance. They didn’t survive to be playable now but we have a Playstation 2 and a PC with quadcore. My favorite game genres are action, roleplaying, and platform.

When I graduate college, I hope I’d be awesome enough to be hired as an animator and/or illustrator. Though I’d really aim to be proficient with any form of media as someone studying multimedia arts.

Right now, I am happy with life even though it gets stressful. College has changed me from being this shy high school student to a more socially-open and fun-loving person with a crazy sense of humor.
